I’ve already purchased The Nature of Wedding Floral Design with Sarah Winward. How is this course different?
The Best of Sarah Winward: Installation Design + Seasonal Floral Design was created as a result of the feedback we received after the launch of The Nature of Wedding Floral Design, Sarah’s first online course with If I Made. While you loved the content, you told us you there were some topics you wanted to go even deeper on. The Best of Sarah Winward is that result. We had Sarah unveil everything she could think of on the topics of installations, seasonal floral design and her creative process. Learn more about the specific topics that are covered on the What You’ll Learn page.
I've been a florist for several years. Is this course only for beginners?
If you’ve always been intrigued by Sarah’s creative process and the level of planning and detail that goes into each of her designs, you will love this course. As well as discussing more practical information around logistics and mechanics, Sarah shares everything she’s learned on large-scale floral installation and seasonal design, from her inspiration process through to product sourcing, recipe writing, pricing and execution. If you’re looking to reignite your passion, be challenged to try fresh ideas, or take your designs to the next level—you will find it in this course.
I've attended one of Sarah's floral workshop's before. Will I learn anything new in the Best of Sarah Winward course?
This course has all of Sarah's theories around installations and seasonal design demonstrated with video, photos, and more than 50 specific case studies. Your time with Sarah in her workshop was mostly focused on hands-on designing. This course contains the lessons taught to you during the workshop, packaged in a tangible way for you to refer back to as you continue to design and evolve.
I'm a new florist just starting out. Will this course be too advanced for me?
Not at all! Sarah is a self-taught florist and takes the time throughout the course to talk you through each step of her process. While you may find the designs she creates to be slightly more advanced, the techniques and skills taught throughout can be applied to all aspects of floral design, regardless of whether you’re just getting started or have a well-established career.
I don't work professionally as a florist, but I really love flowers and want to learn more about floral design. Would this course be suitable for me?
Yes! You’d love the Seasonal Floral Design course! The course on Installation Design may not be as relevant for you if you’re after guidance on creating vase arrangements, but you would gain a lot of knowledge from the Seasonal Design course. Sarah not only shares how she creates her designs, but also all of the different types of flowers you can aspire to use season by season. You will also learn practical skills about flower care, and vase preparation.
