Friendly staff and rooms were very well set out . Very happy with our stay . Pool area is great . Thankful that staff allowed us to store our luggage in reception after we checked out as our train didn’t leave til the afternoon . Not too far to walk to the main shopping precinct of Brisbane :)

Great inner city hotel

Visited Brisbane for 6 days, stayed at The Johnson. All staff were very helpful and friendly. The room was clean and comfortable, but needed some maintenance (outside door to balcony would not open easily, and to get any airflow in the room required the door to be propped open with a chair. Basins in the bathroom were partly blocked, slow draining - but despite our notification to reception, this was never fixed. But otherwise the room was great, and very convenient being on the same level as the front entrance and reception. The parking underneath was a bonus we did not expect. Good location, although a pretty steep walk from Roma Street Station - but Brisbane = hills! Excellent hotel, highly recomment.

It is a little bit frustrating that everytime you check in you have to complete the same information. This is our company preferred hotel when we travel so i have stayed a number of times. The other disappointing thing is that there is not enough parking for guests, I had to find street parking nearby (the worst part was the hotel charged for parking when they told me it was not available) It took 2 phone calls to get the charge removed. Staff are always pleasant at check in and check out. But please supply a copy of the tax invoice when requested, please don't tell us you can't as we need to supply it to our accounts department.
