We offer a number of programs that make it easy for institutions to purchase the Visual Thesaurus and provide access to their population at a discounted rate. We also offer special discounts to accredited academic institutions.
Site Licenses to the Visual Thesaurus:
With a Site License, your entire organization has instant access to the Visual Thesaurus, VocabGrabber, the Visual Thesaurus Spelling Bee, and the online magazine. The Visual Thesaurus is easy to install and administrate. We offer:
- Flexible Authentication Options. You have a choice of three authentication options: Referrer-based Authentication, IP-based Authentication, and Username/Password Authentication. You can use a combination of these to provide access to your students and teachers both at school and at home. Read more about our advanced authentication methods here.
- Administrator Control of Content Filtering. As an administrator, you decide which of the four levels of content filtering is appropriate for your students.
- No Installation Necessary. Members of your organization can access the Visual Thesaurus immediately with no need for installation. In addition, you will automatically get new features, updates, and improvements.
One advantage of a Site License is that your users do not have to remember a username and password. Instead, we provide a number of advanced authentication methods.
Site License pricing is calculated based on the entire population who has access to the Visual Thesaurus.

Group Subscriptions to the Visual Thesaurus:
If you would like to provide access to a group of people who each have their own email address, then a Group Subscription may be right for you. Each user you add to your Group Subscription gets their own individual account and login that is linked to their email address. Additional users enjoy all the same features and functionality as the administrative user, but they have no access to billing and sensitive account information.
